A small town with a reputation for one heck of a reunion.
The Red Headed Stranger
Where Shotgun Willie’s legend and lore hit their lucky streak.
BORN IN WILLIE’S BACKYARD
Luck's story starts with a song. In 1975, Willie Nelson turned "Red Headed Stranger" into an outlaw country classic. Ten years later, it was headed for the big screen, and every good picture show needs a set.
So they built an old west town right on Willie's ranch, just a hop from Austin. Over the years, it became his favorite Hill Country hideout. Then in 2012, a band of barstool dreamers set out to stir the old town back to life with one-of-a-kind thrills fit for this one-of-a-kind slice of history.
THE TOWN THAT
WOULDN’T BURN DOWN
Since 1985, Luck has weathered tornadoes, all-night poker games, and more than a few legendary jam sessions. The original screenplay intended the whole town to go up in flames, but Mayor Willie said no siree. Today it's home to Luck Reunion, and when Willie's in town, you just might catch him dealing a hand at World Headquarters.
