Nearby Spicewood is brimming with cozy cabins and charming hideaways, with plenty of VRBO and Airbnb rentals just down the road from Luck. For those who fancy the bright lights of the big city, Austin is just a 45-minute drive. We’re partial to the folks at Hotel Magdalena, Luck’s partner hotel. But that’s just the start. Austin has an endless supply of spots to rest your head after a day in Luck.

Springtime in Hill Country is spectacular. Expect sunny, mild days…though if you’re not from these parts, you might find it a bit warm. Evenings under those famous Texas stars tend to run cool, and the occasional spring shower isn’t out of the question either. The Mayor recommends packing a jacket and checking the forecast before you hit the road.

Come as you are, friend! Boots, bandanas, denim jeans, pearl snaps, rhinestones, fringe, bolo ties, and braids. Heck, even your Sunday best! All are welcome, so long as you mind your manners.

Most days, just a handful of tumbleweeds and one very mellow Mayor. But come Reunion time, Luck sure knows how to draw a crowd.
